WARRANTS – FAILURE TO APPEAR – MULTIPLE FELONY CHARGES

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Christopher Dwaine Woods, 31, of 103 11th Street, Morgan City, LA, on multiple failure to appear warrants for drugs and obstruction charges in Assumption Parish.

Christopher Dwaine Woods was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result of those arrests, was ordered to appear in court on February 27, 2023 and failed to do so. As a result, warrants were issued for the arrest of Christopher Dwaine Woods.

On July 28, 2023, Christopher Dwaine Woods was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department. Woods was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on July 31, 2023. Christopher Dwaine Woods was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on February 27, 2023 on Charges of:
-Obstruction of Justice
-Production, Manufacture, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous
Substance

*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on February 27, 2023 on Charges of:
-Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous
Substance

Christopher Dwaine Woods remains incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
