WARRANT – FELONY DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
DANTE DEON BATISTE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dante Deon Batiste, 30, of 303 Pelican Street, Labadieville, LA, on warrants charging him with multiple felony drug law violations arising from a December 7,2020 incident.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to 303 Pelican Street, to execute a legally binding order upon Dante Deon Batiste.
As deputies arrived on scene, Batiste had gone into a residential restroom and climbed through a window in an attempt to evade deputies. After a brief pursuit, Dante Deon Batiste was detained. During a protective pat down search of Batiste’s person, quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine were seized.
Dante Deon Batiste was transported to a medical facility for reasons not related to this incident. As a result, deputies secured arrest warrants for Batiste.
On Monday Dante Deon Batiste was transported to Assumption Parish from Lafourche and booked into the detention center on charges of:
*Possession of Marijuana – A Third Offense Felony
*Possession of Cocaine
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Resisting an Officer
*Detainer – Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s
Dante Deon Batiste remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
