UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING,
SEXUAL BATTERY – TY QUANG THAI

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ty Quang Thai, 50, of 261 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony charges resulting from a Sunday incident in Bayou L’Ourse.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence and made contact with the complainant who advised that Ty Quang Thai had presented himself at her residence as she and her friend were unloading her car.

Thai appeared to be intoxicated and at one point tried to kick in the front door of the victim’s home. Shortly thereafter, the suspect is accused of grabbing one of two females in a sexually aggressive manner before fleeing the area.

The responding deputy was able to locate Thai nearby and arrested him.

Ty Quang Thai was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on charges of:

*Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
*Disturbing the Peace (2 Counts)
*Misdemeanor Sexual Battery
*Simple Battery
*Criminal Trespassing

Ty Quang Thai remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
