TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT

PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Robert Ray Wyatt, II, 33, of 1668 Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on felony flight charges following an attempted traffic stop by Sheriff’s deputies.

On Wednesday morning, a uniformed patrol deputy observed an eastbound vehicle on Highway 90 commit a traffic violation and attempted an investigative stop.

The vehicle exited Highway 90 and engaged in a pursuit that ended several miles later when the suspect vehicle crashed on LA 663.

The suspect fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.

The suspect, now identified as Robert Ray Wyatt, II, was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Speeding
*Disregarded Stop Sign
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*No Driver’s License
*Resisting an Officer
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle

Robert Ray Wyatt, II remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
