TRAFFIC STOP / FUGITIVE WARRANT / DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
I.C.E. ARRESTS – CORTEZ RONELL ROBINSON, TERROL T. WHITE,
DIONDRE WHITE SHORT
AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Cortez Ronell Robinson, 32, of 180 Pine Bayou Circle, Monroe, LA, on numerous drug law violations following a traffic stop near Amelia on Monday afternoon.
An I.C.E. Unit deputy on assignment near Amelia observed an east bond vehicle commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver. The deputy also noted three passengers in the vehicle, one of which was identified as Cortez Ronell Robinson.
Based on driver and passenger interviews, the deputy established probable cause which led to a search of the vehicle. During that search, the deputy seized numerous, controlled dangerous substances which were attributed to Cortez Ronell Robinson. Deputies also determined that Robinson and the other two passengers were all wanted on fugitive warrants from Terrebonne Parish.
Cortez Ronell Robinson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Clonazepam (Klonopin)
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Alprazolam (Xanax)
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone
*Possession of Marijuana
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Fugitive – Terrebonne Parish
Additionally, Terrol T. White, 41, of 221 Jones Street #12, Berwick, LA was arrested and booked on charges of:
*Fugitive Warrant – Terrebonne Parish.
White was also issued a summons for Possession of Marijuana. Terrol T. White will be released to Terrebonne Parish.
Diondre White Short, 45, of 110 Vega Court, Gibson, LA was booked on:
*Fugitive Warrant – Terrebonne Parish
Diondre White Short will be released to Terrebonne Parish.
Cortez Ronell Robinson was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
