TRAFFIC STOP – FUGITIVE ARRESTS
CEDRIC BENJAMIN GANT, RONNELL DEMOND WILLIAM, JR.,
KEON ARMAUD CARBIN

AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Cedric Benjamin Gant, 25, of 1061 Grace Street, Morgan City, LA, Ronnell Demond Williams, Jr., 23, of 1303 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA, and Keon Armaud Carbin, 19, of 169 Parro Lane, Berwick, LA, all on fugitive warrants arising from a Friday evening traffic stop near Amelia.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on U.S. 90 with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Cedric Benjamin Gant and conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy then interviewed the two passengers identified as Ronnell Demond Williams, Jr. and Keon Armaud Carbin.

The deputy conducted criminal records checks on all three subjects and all were wanted in other jurisdictions. All three were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:

*Cedric Benjamin Gant – Fugitive Warrant – Harris County in Houston, Texas for Violation of Protective Orders

*Ronnell Demond Williams, Jr. – Fugitive Warrant – Morgan City Police Department

*Keon Armaud Carbin – Fugitive Warrant – Morgan City Police Department

Both Williams and Carbin were released to the custody of Morgan City Police Department.
Cedric Benjamin Gant awaits extradition to the State of Texas.
