TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – I.C.E. ARRESTS
CHADWICK M. LANDRY, CHRISTINA LYNN AUCOIN
BAYOU L’OURSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Chadwick M. Landry, 48, of 1043 Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA and Christina Lynn Aucoin, 35, of 210 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA, on multiple charges arising from a traffic incident on Highway 182 near Amelia on Tuesday morning.
An I.C.E. unit assigned deputy observed a vehicle commit an equipment violation and attempted to stop the vehicle. The violator continued on for over a mile before stopping. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Chadwick M. Landry. The deputy conducted an officer / violator interview then conducted an interview of the passenger, now identified as Christina Lynn Aucoin. After interviewing both the driver and passenger, the deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted.
The deputy proceeded to conduct a pat down search of Chadwick M. Landry in the interest of officer / violator safety. That process was concluded. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. The passenger then began shaking her outer clothing at which time a packet of suspected methamphetamine fell from within. At this time, Christina Lynn Aucoin was arrested.
Christina Lynn Aucoin was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a count of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
Chadwick M. Landry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Failure to Dim Headlights
*Flight from an Officer
*Driving Under Suspension
*Registration Violation
Both Chadwick M. Landry and Christina Lynn Aucoin remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
