TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
MARK ANTHONY GUILLOT – I.C.E. ARREST
LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Mark Anthony Guillot, 46, of 177 Labutte Street, Plattenville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a traffic stop late Monday night near Labadieville, LA.
An I.C.E. Unit deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic stop and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect vehicle attempted to elude the deputy but was stopped in the area of Violet Street and LA 308.
The deputy made contact with the suspect, now identified as Mark Anthony Guillot. During the officer / violator interview, the deputy noted behavior by the suspect consistent with illegal drug activity.
At some point, the suspect granted the deputy consent to search his vehicle. As a result of that search, a quantity of meth-amphetamine and a large caliber handgun was seized.
Mark Anthony Guillot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
*Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Flight from an Officer
*Use of Multiple Beam Road Lighting Equipment
Mark Anthony Guillot remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
