TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
BRANT MICHAEL PERCLE, MARK BROUSSARD, JR.
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Brant Michael Percle, 42, of 1608 Elm Street, Morgan City, La. and Mark Broussard, Jr., 30, of 272 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, La., on felony drug charges resulting from a Monday evening traffic stop.
An I.C.E. Unit deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Aristle Road and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Brant Michael Percle. The deputy then made contact with the passenger, now identified as Mark Broussard, Jr.
The deputy noted both to be acting nervously and suspect of illegal drug activity.
Deputies requested and were granted consent to search the vehicle. As a result of that process, quantities of meth-amphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Additionally, a quantity of meth-amphetamine was located outside the passenger side of the vehicle where Broussard exited.
At the conclusion of this investigation, Brant Michael Percle and Mark Broussard, Jr. were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center as follows:

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Turning Movements and Signals Required
As to Mark Broussard, Jr. –
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Littering
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both Brant Michael Percle and Mark Broussard, Jr. remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
