TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
SHANNON MARIE SCRIBNER and DANNY JOSEPH LEBLANC
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Shannon Marie Scribner, 37, of 122 Simone Street, Pierre Part, LA and Danny Joseph LeBlanc, 29, of 2443 Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges following a traffic stop near Plattenville, LA, Tuesday evening.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy was working assignment near Plattenville when he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver now identified as Danny Joseph LeBlanc. The deputy also made contact with one passenger, namely Shannon Marie Scribner.
After interviewing the occupants, the deputy utilized a K-9 unit to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle. At that time, the K-9 alerted to particular locations within the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded illegal narcotics. Danny Joseph LeBlanc was arrested
and booked on charges of:
*Headlights required
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Methamphetamine
Shannon Marie Scribner was arrested and booked on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Amphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Danny Joseph LeBlanc and Shannon Marie Scribner were incarcerated pending bond proceedings.
Danny Joseph LeBlanc was recently released from jail after completing a Department of Corrections sentence for drug law violations.
