TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
CHRISTOPHER THOMAS SINGLETON, FRANCES LEE BOUDREAUX
BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Christopher Thomas Singleton, 37, of 154 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA and Frances Lee Bouddreaux, 38, of 129 Pond Drive, Bayou L’Ourse, LA on multiple felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 662 near Bayou L’Ourse Wednesday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a westbound vehicle on LA 662 commit multiple traffic and equipment violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Christopher Thomas Singleton.
The deputy noted that Singleton was irate and had to be ordered to return to his vehicle. The deputy further observed a female, now identified as Frances Lee Boudreaux, to be moving swiftly within the passenger capsule of the vehicle. At some point, Frances Lee Boudreaux and Christopher Thomas Singleton became irate and noncompliant and both had to be physically subdued.
The deputy summoned a K-9 unit to the location of the stop. The K-9 alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances while conducting an open-air sniff of the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, Heroin and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Christopher Thomas Singleton and Frances Lee Boudreaux were both arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:

*Operating a Vehicle Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Failure to Display a License Plate
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Heroin
*Resisting an Officer – 2 Counts
Christopher Thomas Singleton remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Battery of a Police Officer
*Resisting an Officer
