TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
CRAIG MICHAEL FREE, CHRISTIAN NICHOLE ARCENEAUX
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Craig Michael Free, 36, of 1915 River Road, Lot 17, Berwick, LA and Christian Nichole Arceneaux, 35, of 575 Oak Ridge Lane, Gibson, LA, on felony drug law violations arising from a traffic stop on U.S. 90 near Amelia, LA.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed an east bound vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The driver is identified as Craig Michael Free.
The deputy made contact with the driver and engaged into an officer / violator interview. The deputy then interviewed the passenger, now identified as Christian Nichole Arceneaux.
At the conclusion of the interview process, the deputy believed that additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the vehicle. During that search, quantities of various controlled dangerous substances were seized. Both suspects were arrested.
Upon arrival at the parish detention center, the investigating officer recovered additional evidence that was possessed by Christian Nichole Arceneaux.
Craig Michael Free was booked on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Suboxone (2 Counts)
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Owner to Secure Registration
*No Insurance
Craig Michael Free remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center with bond set at $40,000.
Christian Nichole Arceneaux was booked on charges of:
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Heroin
*Possession of Suboxone
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Christian Nichole Arceneaux remains incarcerated in the Assumption Parish Detention Center with bond set at $40,000.
