TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Dominique Sherelle Sipp, 32, of 5385 Highway 18, Vacherie, LA, on traffic and drug charges following an investigatory stop on Thursday evening.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle on LA 70 East commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle. The driver now identified as Dominique Sherelle Sipp was driving on a suspended drivers’ license.

During the stop, deputies noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle netted a quantity of marijuana.

Dominique Sherelle Sipp was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Speeding
*Driving Under Suspension
*Expired or Cancelled License Plate

Dominique Sherelle Sipp was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
