TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – HAROLD J. FOLSE, III, GLYNDA LEE ROGERS
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Harold J. Folse, III, 48, and Glynda Lee Rogers, 42, both of 146 Noe Court, Pierre Part, LA, on felony drug charges arising out of a traffic stop near Plattenville early Tuesday morning.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle parked near a local business and as the deputy approached, the vehicle accelerated towards LA 70 Spur. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, now identified as Harold J. Folse, III. The deputy conducted an interview and as a result, concluded that more investigation was warranted. The deputy summoned a K-9 to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff and alerted positive for the presence of illegal substances.
The vehicle was searched and as a result of that process, quantities of methamphetamine, valium and assorted paraphernalia was seized.
Harold J. Folse, III and Glynda Lee Rogers were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Valium (Diazepam)
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Additionally, Folse was charged with disregarding a stop sign.
Both Harold J. Folse, III and Glynda Lee Rogers remain incarcerated with bonds set for $60,000.
