TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jacy Capello Naquin, 43, of 213 West 4th Street, Lot B, Donaldsonville, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 north of Belle Rose on Tuesday afternoon.

A uniformed deputy observed a southbound vehicle on LA 1 with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jacy Capello Naquin. The deputy interviewed the driver and conducted a driver’s license check and a warrants check. The deputy was advised that the driver’s license possessed by Capello was under suspension and she was wanted in Assumption Parish on a Failure to Appear Warrant.

Jacy Capello Naquin was arrested. She was found to have a quantity of methamphetamine in her possession. She was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Driving Under Suspension
*Illegal Window Tint
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
*Improper Turning
*No Liability Insurance
*Switched License Plate
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on a Charge of Possession of Marijuana

Jacy Capello Naquin remains incarcerated with bond set at $5639.
