TRAFFIC STOP / DRUG LAW VIOLATION – JESSY J. MILES

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jessy J. Miles, 34, of 310 Eauclair Drive, Thibodaux, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 308 Near Violet Street north of Labadieville.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jessy J. Miles. The deputy noted the presence of what was believed to be suspected MDMA in two separate packages in plain view. During the driver interview, Jessy J. Miles acknowledged the presence of the illegal drugs as well as accompanying drug paraphernalia.

Jessy J. Miles was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Failure to Dim Headlights

Jessy J. Miles remains incarcerated with bond set at $75,000.
