TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION
GREGORY BROWN, EARL HENRY, JR., DOMINIQUE DAWAYNE JAMES
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Gregory Brown, 62, of 459 Paula Drive, Thibodaux, LA, Earl Henry, Jr., 22, of 242 Hummingbird Drive, Houma, LA and Dominique Dawayne James, 1716 S. Barbier, Thibodaux, LA, on drug charges following a traffic stop on LA 70 East.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a westbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and proceeded to execute a stop of the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver identified as Gregory Brown. After interviewing Brown, the deputy approached the vehicle and identified two passengers, namely Earl Henry, Jr. and Dominique Dawayne James. While addressing those two individuals, deputies noted a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
Due to occupant interviews and all other facts considered, consent to search the vehicle was obtained.
During the search of the vehicle, a significant amount of bulk marijuana was seized. As a result of that find, Gregory Brown was arrested on charges of:
*Speeding
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
Earl Henry, Jr. was charged with:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
Dominique Dawayne James was charged with:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Fugitive from Lafourche Parish
Al three suspects were incarcerated pending bond hearings.
