TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION – ELIZABETH THERIOT
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Elizabeth Theriot, 36, 2544 Hwy. 1, Thibodaux, LA, 70301, on felony drug charges following an investigative stop near Napoleonville on Monday morning.
A uniformed patrol officer on assignment, observed a vehicle parked on the southbound shoulder of LA 1 with the driver appearing to be slumped or leaning over the steering wheel.
The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Elizabeth Theriot and proceeded to interview her. Theriot gave conflicting reasons for being parked there and gave some outward signs consistent with illegal drug activity.
After being granted consent to search the vehicle, the investigating officer located and seized a quantity of Xanax (Alprazolam) tablets.
Elizabeth Theriot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Xanax (Alprazolam)
Elizabeth Theriot was release on a $15,000 bond.
