TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW VIOLATION

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Michael Ganel, Jr., of 169 Highway 401, Napoleonville, LA, following a traffic stop.
Narcotics agents were in an area southwest of Napoleonville when they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Agents conducted a stop of the vehicle and noted that the driver and one passenger occupied the vehicle.
Agents interviewed the driver and while doing so noted the passenger to be acting nervously. At some point, agents conducted a pat down search of the passenger now identified as Michael Ganel, Jr. During that process, a quantity of suspected meth-amphetamine was located. Michael Ganel, Jr., was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine
Michael Ganel, Jr. is incarcerated with a bond set at $10,000.
