TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG LAW, GUN LAW VIOLATIONS, RESIDENTIAL
SEARCH WARRANT – JEREMY J. BREAUX and TERRANCE WHITE
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Jeremy J. Breaux, 38, of 118 Tyler Lane, Belle Rose, LA and Terrance White, 42, of 175 Belle Point Lane, Napoleonville, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop late Tuesday north of Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Jeremy J. Breaux and one passenger identified as Terrance White and engaged both into officer / violator interviews.
The deputy noted a strong odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle. During the interview process, Breaux and White gave conflicting answers to deputies’ questions. Deputies concluded that further investigation was warranted.
A K-9 was utilized to conduct an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle and alerted positive for the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large caliber handgun, assorted drug paraphernalia, MDMA (Ecstasy), Percocet and an amount of U.S. currency.
As a result of established probable cause, deputies and narcotics secured a search warrant for the residence of Terrance White located at 175 Belle Point Lane north of Napoleonville.
As a result of the traffic stop, Jeremy J. Breaux was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Percocet
*Obstruction of Driver’s View or Driving Mechanism
*Improper Equipment
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Jeremy J. Breaux posted bond in the amount of $11,500 and was released on Wednesday.
As a result of the traffic stop, Terrance White was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Possession of Percocet
Agents executed the search warrant at 175 Belle Point Lane north of Napoleonville and during that search, quantities of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy), methamphetamine and two high powered assault style rifles were seized.
As a result of evidence seized of the search warrant at 175 Belle Point Lane, Terrance White was additionally charged with:
*Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
Terrance White remains incarcerated with bond set at one million, seventy-five thousand dollars ($1,075,000).
