TRAFFIC STOP – DRUG /GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
CHRISTOPHER HOSEA WALKER, TROY KENDELL BEASLEY
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Christopher Hosea Walker, 24, of 5460 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA and Troy Kendell Beasley, 26, of 132 Bertrand Street, Bertrandville, LA, on multiple felony drug and gun charges arising from a Thursday evening traffic stop at LA 1 and St. John Street, Paincourtville, LA.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Christopher Hosea Walker.
After interviewing Walker and Beasley, deputies requested and were granted consent to search the vehicle. During that process, deputies seized suspected marijuana in multiple areas of the vehicle as well as a large caliber handgun.
Based on a criminal records check, it was determined that Christopher Hosea Walker was a prior convicted felon. Both Walker and Beasley were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:
– As to Christopher Hosea Walker:
*Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
*License Plate Light Required
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
– As to Troy Kendell Beasley:
*Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
*Illegal Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
Both Christopher Hosea Walker and Troy Kendell Beasley remains incarcerated pending bond hearings.
