TRAFFIC STOP – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS – TYLER JAMES EVERETT, KAITLYNN MARIE LANDRY
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Tyler James Everett, 26, of 1501 Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, LA, and Kaitlyn Marie Landry, 28, of 6716 Highway 1, Belle Rose, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East on Thursday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed an eastbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop that vehicle. The driver accelerated in an attempt to evade the deputy. During the pursuit, the front seat passenger was observed tossing items from the moving vehicle at various points during the pursuit. The deputy was able to successfully terminate the pursuit and was able to arrest the driver, now identified as Tyler James Everett and the passenger, now identified as Kaitlyn Marie Landry. The pursuit ended in Ascension Parish.
Deputies conducted a protective pat down search of Everette and seized drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine off of his person.
Deputies recovered drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine from the roadway which the suspects attempted to dispose of by tossing the contraband during the pursuit.
Tyler James Everett and Kaitlyn Marie Landry were both transported to the Ascension Parish Jail and booked as fugitives from Assumption Parish.
Tyler James Everett and Kaitlyn Marie Landry were released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Tyler James Everett was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*No Driver’s License
*Speeding – 74 mph / 55 mph zone
*Resisting an Officer
Kaitlyn Marie Landry was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Obstruction of Justice
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer
*No Seat Belt
Tyler James Everett and Kaitlyn Marie Landry remains incarcerated pending bond hearings.
