TRAFFIC STOP – JOSEPH JOHNSON, III
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Joseph Johnson, III, 41, of 116 Prevost Drive, Houma, LA, on felony fugitive warrants originating in Lafourche Parish.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on LA 398 west of Labadieville commit a traffic violation. The deputy initiated a stop of that vehicle and made contact with the driver, now identified as Joseph Johnson, III.
During the officer / driver interview and subsequent computer inquiries, it was determined that Joseph Johnson, III was wanted by Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges.
Joseph Johnson, III was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges as follows:
*Fugitive Warrants:
– Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Flight from an Officer
– Disobeying Stop Sign
Joseph Johnson, III was arrested early Sunday morning and transferred to Lafourche Parish later on Sunday.
