TRAFFIC STOP – TAIT MICHAEL GUIDRY, DORISSA ANN CHAUVIN
AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Tait Michael Guidry, 29, of 167 Texas Gulf Road, Bourg, LA and Dorissa Ann Chauvin, 31, of 310 Dewey Street, Houma, LA, on felony drug charges arising from a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop on U.S. 90.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Tait Michael Guidry. The officer conducted an officer / violator interview. The deputy noted that the suspect was not following simple commands. The deputy opted to detain Tait Michael Guidry due to safety protocol. At this time, Guidry became belligerent and uncooperative.
The deputy made contact with the passenger, now identified as Dorissa Ann Chauvin and interviewed her as well. The deputy decided that additional investigation was warranted. A K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle which produced a positive result for illegal controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of the prescription drug identified as Adderall.
Tait Michael Guidry was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Prohibited Acts Schedule II to Wit: Adderall
*No Seat Belt
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
*Failure to Drive on Right of Road
Dorissa Ann Chauvin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:
*Prohibited Acts-Schedule I
Both Tait Michael Guidry and Dorissa Ann Chauvin remain incarcerated pending bond hearing.
