TRAFFIC INCIDENT / PURSUIT – DERON JUPITER

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Deron Jupiter, 36, of 132 Solar Trailer Park, Thibodaux, LA, arising from a traffic incident / pursuit near Napoleonville on Tuesday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on LA 1 and attempted to stop that vehicle. The suspect engaged the deputy in a pursuit which ended in the parking lot of a local retail outlet. The suspect now identified as Deron Jupiter was apprehended and arrested.

Deron Jupiter was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Speeding – 86 mph/55 mph Speed Zone
*Resisting an Officer
*Flight from an Officer
*Fugitive Warrant – Lafourche Parish

Deron Jupiter remains incarcerated with bond set at $20,000.
