TRAFFIC INCIDENT – DRUG / GUN LAW VIOLATIONS
TIMOTHY JOSEPH HENDON
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Timothy Joseph Hendon, 34, of 4345A Highway 70 South, Pierre Part, LA, on multiple felony charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 70 East on Sunday evening.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Timothy Joseph Hendon and engaged Hendon in an officer / violator interview. At the conclusion of that interview, the deputy believed additional investigation was warranted. The deputy requested and was granted consent to search the suspect vehicle. During the search process, deputies seized quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana and a firearm.
Timothy Hendon was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Methamphetamine
*Possession of Marijuana
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Speeding – 85/55
*False Registration Certificates
*Driving Under Suspended Driver’s License
*Expire Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
Timothy Joseph Hendon remains incarcerated with bond set at $200,000.
