TRAFFIC INCIDENT – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – WARRANTS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Amir Stancil Walker, 33, of 125 Coleman Johnson Road, Napoleonville, LA on felony flight charges arising from an incident on March 27, 2023
On the aforementioned date, a uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and attempted to stop the vehicle on LA 400.
The driver accelerated through several properties in an attempt to flee from the pursuing deputy.
The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle in the Alvin Street area and fled on foot.
The deputy was able to identify the driver and applied for arrest warrants which were granted.
Amir Stancil Walker was arrested on Wednesday evening and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Resisting an Officer
*Speeding
*Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic
Amir Stancil Walker remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
