TRAFFIC INCIDENT – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT – PAUL A. VEDROS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Paul A. Vedros, 55, of 3219 Highway 308, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges arising out of a traffic incident near LA 1 and LA 402 north of Napoleonville.
A uniformed patrol officer clocked a southbound vehicle traveling in excess of 100 mph and attempted a traffic stop of said vehicle. The suspect vehicle crossed over the LA 402 Bridge and accessed a side street then backed into a private drive. As the deputy approached, the suspect vehicle attempted to drive off. The deputy was able to stop the vehicle and did take the suspect, now identified as Paul A. Vedros into custody. The investigating officer noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the person of Paul A. Vedros.
At the conclusion of the investigative traffic stop, Paul A. Vedros was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Speeding
*Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle
*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Resisting an Officer
*Driving While Intoxicated – First Offense
Paul A. Vedros was incarcerated and released on $10,000 bond.
