TRAFFIC – DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS
ELIJAH PAUL RODRIGUE

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Elijah Paul Rodrigue, 42, of 1666 Highway 307, Thibodaux, La, following a traffic stop near Paincourtville, LA.

A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle traveling on LA 70 commit multiple traffic violations. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver now identified as Angel Elizabeth Mason, 20, of 126 Reno Street, Pierre Part, LA. The deputy interviewed Mason.

The deputy then made contact with the passenger now identified as Elijah Paul Rodrigue.

As a result of those interviews and the ensuing search of the vehicle, deputies did recover a quantity of marijuana and meth-amphetamine.

Angel Mason was issued summonses for:

*Possession of Marijuana
*Littering
*Improper Lighting
*Improper Lane Usage

Elijah Paul Rodrigue was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine

Rodrigue was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
