THEFT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
KLIEJAH MONAY JACKSON
PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kliejah Monay Jackson, 19, of 128 Fern Lane, Houma, LA, on felony charges related to the theft of a 2002 Cadillac Escalade.
Deputies responded to a call and made contact with the complainant who indicated that he and a friend were supposed to be driving another friend to the Houma area when suddenly, the suspect now identified as Kliejah Monay Jackson, began to get unruly. The victim and his associate stopped at the head of Flower Lane and LA 300 near Labadieville. The complainant exited his vehicle and he and his associate walked to the back of the vehicle.
At one point, Kliejah Monay Jackson jumped into the driver’s seat and sped away.
Deputies continued searching for Jackson and a uniformed patrol officer spotted the stolen vehicle westbound on LA 70 East. Deputies initiated a stop of the vehicle and a short time later Jackson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle
Kliejah Monay Jackson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
