SUSPICIOUS PERSON, FELONY ARREST – COREY K. BLAKE
BRUSLY ST. MARTIN – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Corey K. Blake, 23, of 8900 Short Street, Vancleave, Mississippi, arising from a suspicious person complaint near Brusly St. Martin.
Deputies responded to the complaint and located the suspect, now identified as Corey K. Blake as well as his pick-up truck.
Deputies interviewed Blake and as a result of that process, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and assorted paraphernalia was seized and attributed to Corey K. Blake.
Deputies arrested Blake and proceeded to the Assumption Parish Detention Center to process Blake into the jail. At some point, Blake became unruly and hostile. Blake attempted to flee the facility but was quickly apprehended. Blake continued arguing with facility employees and had to be physically restrained several times.
Corey K. Blake was booked on charges of:
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
*Criminal Trespassing
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
*Illegal Carrying of Weapons in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
*Battery Upon a Correctional Facility Employee
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
*Resisting an Officer (6 Counts)
*Public Intimidation
*Simple Escape (Felony)
*Battery of a Police Officer
Corey K. Blake remains incarcerated with bond set at $89,000.
