SIMPLE BURGLARY OF AN INHABITED DWELLING
LARRY JAMES MOORE, JR.
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Larry James Moore, Jr. 49, of 419 Shoal Drive, Houma, LA, on felony charges arising from a burglary investigation in the 2400 block of LA 308 in Labadieville.
On June 9, 2023, deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned address in reference to a stolen boat. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised that the property owner had been hospitalized and when the complainant went to check on the property, he observed the boat to be missing. Witnesses advised the last time they observed the boat to be in the shed was approximately two weeks earlier.
On June 10, 2023, Thibodaux City Police Officers located the boat, motor, and trailer in question at 217 North 13th Street in Thibodaux. The boat was seized.
Through investigation, deputies and detectives developed Larry James Moore, Jr. as a suspect in the theft. On June 15, 2023, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Larry James Moore, Jr.
On May 23, 2024, Larry James Moore, Jr was arrested on the Assumption Parish warrant. He was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Larry James Moore, Jr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling
Larry James Moore remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
