SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION VIOLATION, FUGITIVE
TREY A. RENTROP

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Trey A. Rentrop, 33, of 349 Highway 663, Bayou L’Ourse, LA on felony charges of Failure to Register and notify as a sex offender, as well as a fugitive warrant originating in Lafourche Parish.

As a Tier 1 registered sex offender, Trey A. Rentrop was required to register annually for 15 years. Trey A. Rentrop failed to comply with those requirements in the time period of December 1, 2022 to January 24, 2023. A warrant was issued for Rentrop’s arrest on January 24, 2023.

Trey A. Rentrop was arrested on April 6, 2023 and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender
*Fugitive – Lafourche Parish

Trey A. Rentrop was incarcerated and released in lieu of $5,000.

Trey A. Rentrop was transferred to Lafourche Parish to satisfy the fugitive warrant.
