SECOND DEGREE BATTERY

SECOND DEGREE BATTERY – ANDREAUS L. SARGENT

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Andreaus L. Sargent, 31, of 6109, Highway 308, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising out of a Thursday afternoon incident near Napoleonville, LA.

Deputies were dispatched to the Belle Rose area to meet with an individual who was involved in a physical confrontation. Deputies made contact with the complainant who advised he was at an event in Napoleonville at which time Andreaus L. Sargent approached him and began a conversation which escalated to the complainant and the suspect engaging in an argument.

At some point, Andreaus L. Sargent allegedly struck the complainant (victim) in the face with a closed fist.

Deputies were able to confirm that the victim sustained visible physical injuries as a result of the actions of Andreaus L. Sargent.

Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Andreaus L. Sargent.

The suspect turned himself into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Friday and was booked on charges of:

*Second Degree Battery

Andreaus L. Sargent was released after posting a $30,000 commercial bond.
