SEARCH WARRANT – MULTIPLE DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shan Michael Perera, 46, of 4171 Highway 308, La., on multiple felony drug law violations following the execution of a search warrant on Tuesday afternoon.
As part of an ongoing parish wide illegal narcotics investigation, agents identified Shan Michael Perera as being involved in illegal drug activity in the Assumption Parish area.
During recent days, agents were able to establish probable cause to secure a search warrant for the home of Shan Michael Perera located at 4171 Highway 308, Napoleonville, La.
On Tuesday afternoon, agents converged on the home in an effort to execute the search warrant. Then and there, agents seized a variety of controlled dangerous substances as well as a substantial quantity of U.S. currency.
Shan Michael Perera was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession of Meth-Amphetamine with Intent to Distribute
*Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax)
*Possession of Suboxone
*Possession of Steroids
*Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Shan Michael Perera was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
