NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that unknown persons are soliciting monetary donations via gift cards on behalf of local religious organizations.

This is a SCAM and not a legitimate solicitation. If you receive such a call, we suggest you contact the church in question to see if such a request is being made by that organization.

As in all telephone solicitations, we urge everyone not to send money until you have confirmed that the solicitation is legitimate.
