PURSUIT – AGGRAVATED FLIGHT

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jeremy Anthony Dixon, 39, of 1037 Ridgefield Road, Thibodaux, LA, on felony charges resulting from a traffic incident early Monday.

A uniformed patrol officer working duty, observed a northbound vehicle near Napoleonville, commit a traffic violation. The deputy attempted a traffic stop at which time the suspect vehicle engaged in a pursuit.

At some point, the suspect vehicle stopped at a Plattenville business and the driver exited the vehicle. The suspect driver was immediately taken into custody.

The suspect, now identified as Jeremy Anthony Dixon, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Driving Under Suspension
*Use of Multiple Beam Road Lighting Equipment
*Insurance Compulsory Violation

Jeremy Anthony Dixon remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
