POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON – KENTRELL SANDERS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kentrell Sanders, 41, of 114 Jefferson Street, Napoleonville, LA.
A uniformed patrol officer was dispatched to the area of Canal Street in Napoleonville in regards to a male subject possessing a firearm. The officer came into to the contact with suspect now identified as Sanders. Sanders fled resulting in a foot pursuit which led to Sanders capture. While fleeing, Sanders discarded a firearm.

Kentrell Sanders was charged with the following:

*Flight from an Officer (4 Counts)
*Possession of a Firearm / Carry. Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon (Felony)
*Threatening a Public Official (3 Counts)

Kentrell Sanders remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
