OPERATION, “TAKE A RIDE”, DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS-DISTRIBUTION – RENE STARKS, SR.

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Rene Starks, Sr., 51, of 201 Arcement Street, Napoleonville, La, on felony drug distribution charges arising from operation, “Take a Ride”.

As part of an ongoing parish wide illegal narcotics investigation, agents determined that Rene Starks, Sr. was trafficking in illegal narcotics in the Assumption Parish area.

As a result of this investigation, agents developed sufficient probable cause to secure arrest warrants for Rene Starks, Sr.

On Saturday afternoon, deputies went to the aforementioned address to locate and arrest Starks. During that process, Renee Starks attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

Rene Starks, Sr. was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Distribution of Marijuana
*Distribution of Crack Cocaine

Rene Starks, Sr. remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
