MULTIPLE ARREST WARRANTS – PROBATION VIOLATION
KIRBY DUANE SOUTHERN, SR.

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Kirby Duane Southern, Sr., 46, of 184 Dorseyville Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on multiple arrest warrants arising out of separate events.

A uniformed patrol deputy executed a stop of a motor vehicle for a traffic violation. The deputy observed an individual run from the vehicle. The deputy recognized the individual to be Kirby Duane Southern, Sr. and knew that Southern was wanted on criminal charges.

After a brief foot pursuit, Kirby Duane Southern, Sr. was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Battery of a Dating Partner
*Resisting an Officer
*Possession of Marijuana
*Failure to Appear in Court in Assumption Parish on Charges of:
-Speeding
-Driving Under Suspension
*Probation Violation – Louisiana Department of Corrections

Kirby Duane Southern, Sr. was ordered held without bond on the probation violation and awaits a bond hearing on the remaining charges.
