MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT – 2 COUNTS

AMELIA – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bryan Kelly Wright, 49, of 142 Ponderosa Lane, Gray, LA, on felony theft charges arising from an incident at an Amelia business on or about December 09, 2022.

On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a business establishment on East Service Road in reference to the theft of two side by side utility vehicles.

Detectives initiated an investigation and were able to identify three suspects as follows:

– Bryan Kelly Wright, 49, of 142 Ponderosa Lane, Gray LA
– Adam Joseph Carrere, 40, of 2331 Bayou Blue Road, Houma, LA
– Stephen M. Sheppard, 51, of 415 Country Estates, Houma, LA

At the conclusion of the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Bryan Kelly Wright, Adam Joseph Carrere and Stephen M. Sheppard. At the time of the filings, the three suspects were incarcerated in other jurisdictions.

On Friday, Bryan Kelly Wright was transferred to the Assumption Parish Detention Center and booked on warrants for:

*Theft of a Motor Vehicle – 2 Counts
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property

Bryan Kelly Wright remains in custody with bond set at $80,000.

Adam Joseph Carrere was previously arrested and posted bond on charges of:

*Felony Theft of a Motor Vehicle – 2 Counts
*Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Stephen M. Sheppard is currently incarcerated in another facility and will be charged in Assumption Parish at a later date.
