ILLEGAL DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS COMPLAINT

BERTRANDVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of James Robert Harris, 22, of 150 Pecan Street, Bertrandville, LA, on felony firearms charges arising from a complaint of someone illegally discharging a firearm near a residence on Pecan Street in Bertrandville.

Deputies were dispatched to the location and upon arrival made contact with several individuals who were standing around multiple vehicles.

Deputies, with the assistance of a K-9, located a firearm under one of the vehicles. Deputies seized the large caliber handgun.

At the conclusion of the investigation, James Robert Harris, a prior convicted felon was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

Jame Robert Harris was incarcerated and released on a $35,000 commercial bond.
