HOME INVASION, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM

LANCE JOSEPH GASPARD, BRYCE NATHANIEL AUCOIN,
JUVENILE AGE 17

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrests of Lance Joseph Gaspard, 19, of 118 Sycamore Street, Labadieville, LA, Bryce Nathaniel Aucoin, 19, of 3228 Susan Drive, Morgan City, LA, and the filing of a verified complaint against a 17 year old male suspect, all in connection to a series of incidents on Wednesday afternoon.

On June 21, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of threats involving firearms that occurred at a residence on Sycamore Street in Labadieville.

Detectives initiated an investigation and determined that Lance Joseph Gaspard traveled to a residence in Bayou L’Ourse where he forcefully entered in search of an individual in retaliation for a social media post that angered Gaspard. However, the subject was not at the location. Gaspard left the location and returned to his home on Sycamore Street.

Later on Wednesday, Bryce Nathaniel Aucoin and a 17 year old male juvenile traveled to Sycamore Street to confront Gaspard. The juvenile and Aucoin threatened Gaspard while armed with guns. Detectives recovered evidence in support of the crimes.

All subjects who were implicated in the illegal events were detained for questioning.

As a result of the investigation, the following suspects were arrested and charged:

– Lance Joseph Gaspard
*Home Invasion

Gaspard remains incarcerated with bond set at $25,000.

– Bryce Nathaniel Aucoin
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

Aucoin remains incarcerated with bond set at $75,000.

– 17-Year-Old Male Juvenile
*Aggravated Assault with a Firearm

The male juvenile was released to the custody of his parents.
