FUGITIVE WARRANT – PUBLIC INTIMIDATION – SIMPLE ASSAULT – JAMON DEONDRE HERBERT
PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Jamon Deondre Herbert, 27, of 179 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA, on numerous charges arising out of a series of incidents that occurred at a Plattenville business in the early morning hours of May 22, 2021.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to the establishment in connection to an individual with a gun. Deputies arrived and within a brief period of time, a group of individuals gathered resulting in additional deputies being dispatched to the area.
Deputies became engaged in a physical encounter with the primary violator, Shane Michael Coleman, 20, of 117 Laverne Drive, Thibodaux, LA. Coleman was eventually arrested on felony charges including an attempted second-degree murder charge originating in Terrebonne Parish.
As deputies attempted to arrest Coleman, Jamon Deondre Herbert and a second suspect taunted and threatened deputies, were aggressive towards deputies, and disrupted a lawful investigation.
As a result of the actions of Jamon Deondre Herbert, deputies secured arrest warrants for Herbert’s arrest. Herbert was arrested on Violet Street on Saturday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Public Intimidation – 4 Counts
*Interfering with a Law Enforcement Investigation
*Simple Assault – 4 Counts
*Fugitive – City of Thibodaux Police Department
Jamon Deondre Herbert was released on a $90,000 bond.
