DONALD DANTRELL LEWIS
LABADIEVILLE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Donald Dantrell Lewis, 36, of 200 Oakmont Drive, New Orleans, LA, on a felony fugitive warrant following an early morning traffic stop on Saturday morning in Labadieville, LA.
A uniformed K-9 deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the vicinity of LA 1 and the Labadieville bridge.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and made contact with the driver, now identified as Donald Dantrell Lewis.
The deputy noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
The K-9 was positioned to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted positive to the presence of illegal controlled dangerous substances. The deputy conducted a search of the vehicle and located trace amounts of suspected marijuana.
Upon conducting a computer check on Donald Dantrell Lewis, it was determined that Lewis was wanted by the Louisiana Department of Corrections for a probation / parole violation. Donald Dantrell Lewis had violated conditions of his probation / parole for a prior conviction for possession of cocaine.
Donald Dantrell Lewis was booked into the parish detention facility on charges of:

Donald Dantrell Lewis remains incarcerated without bond.
