FELONY THEFT – SAMANTHA JO CHENEVERT

BELLE ROSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Samantha Jo Chenevert, 38, of 113A Raceway Court, Belle Rose, LA, on felony theft charges arising from a burglary investigation.

On July 13, 2023, deputies responded to a burglary complaint at a residence on LA 996 near Belle Rose.

An investigation by detectives resulted in the discovery of evidence linked to a crime and the identification of Samantha Jo Chenevert as a suspect in the crime.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant accusing Samantha Jo Chenevert of felony theft valued at approximately $5,000.

Samantha Jo Chenevert was transferred from another correctional facility on Monday and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

Samantha Jo Chenevert remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
