FELONY THEFT – ELLISLES MARIA THOMAS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Ellisles Maria Thomas, 39, of 102 Peterville Lane, Belle Rose, LA, on felony charges arising out of an employee theft from a Belle Rose business.
On June 18, 2022, deputies responded to a complaint at the retail establishment. The suspect in the matter was identified to deputies as Ellisles Maria Thomas, an employee. The business manager advised deputies that shortly after confronting Thomas, she resigned her position. The actual theft allegedly occurred during a period prior to May 24, 2022.
The amount of the thefts totaled approximately $2,250 in cash as well as an amount of merchandise.
At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Ellisles Maria Thomas.
Deputies arrested Thomas in Belle Rose on Sunday. She was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Theft (Felony)
Thomas remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
