FELONY STALKING, AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
SHAREAFA S. WATKINS

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Shareafa S. Watkins, 34, of 1210 Winder Road, Thibodaux, LA, on felony charges arising from multiple incidents occurring between April 14, 2024 and May 6, 2024.

On April 15, 2024, deputies responded to the 100 block of Evergreen Street in Labadieville in reference to a criminal trespassing complaint. Deputies made contact with multiple complainants who reported that Shareafa S. Watkins had committed numerous acts amounting to threats. Complainants also observed the suspect on the premises which was captured by electronic monitoring. The threats continued for an extended period of time. The connection between Shareafa S. Watkins and the complainant’s family was domestic in nature. Investigating deputies established probable cause sufficient to obtain warrants for the arrest of Shareafa S. Watkins for felony stalking and criminal trespassing.

In a related matter involving Watkins, deputies responded to a disturbance complaint at a residence on LA 400 on May 6, 2024 in which the complainants alleged that Watkins had committed similar acts towards them and at one point had produced a knife in a threatening manner. As a result of this incident, deputies obtained a warrant charging Shareafa S. Watkins with aggravated assault.

Thibodaux City Police arrested Shareafa S. Watkins on the Assumption Parish warrants on May 7, 2024.

Shareafa S. Watkins was transferred to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on May 7, 2024. Watkins was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Stalking – Felony
*Criminal Trespass
*Aggravated Assault

Shareafa S. Watkins remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
