PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Florian Metrejean, 48, of 316 South Bay Road, Pierre Part, LA, on charges related to a September 16, 2019 high speed pursuit.

On the aforementioned date, a uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle being operated by Florian Metrejean. The deputy had prior knowledge of outstanding warrants for Florian Metrejean’s arrest. The deputy attempted to stop Metrejean which resulted in the suspect engaging in a pursuit with the deputy. Metrejean fled into St. Martin Parish and evaded arrest. The deputy filed arrest warrants on Metrejean.

On Friday, November 15, 2019, detectives conducting surveillance on Metrejean’s residence, observed the suspect enter the dwelling at 316 South Bay Road. Detectives secured a search warrant and were able to arrest Metrejean.

Florian Metrejean was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Aggravated Flight from an Officer
*Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
*Speeding
*Improper Passing
*Improper Display of Equipment
*Driving Under Suspension
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Sticker
*Failure to Appear – Felony Drug Counts

Florian Metrejean was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
