FALSE PERSONATION OF A PEACE OFFICER
VINCENT VINNY MARKS
NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Vincent Vinny Marks, 27, of 22105 Highway 1, Plaquemine, LA, on felony charges arising out of a traffic incident near Bayou Corne on June 10, 2021.
On the aforementioned date a traffic incident occurred. Following a near collision, all traffic continued on.
An off-duty Assumption Parish deputy was traveling on LA 70 at the time of the incident. At a point following the incident, a vehicle traveling behind the deputy began flashing his headlights continuously. The off-duty deputy turned into a convenience store parking lot and the vehicle behind him also turned and then blocked the deputy in.
The driver of that vehicle presented a badge to the deputy and represented himself as being a police officer. However, the Assumption deputy recognized the individual as being a party to a domestic incident in Pierre Part earlier this year.
An investigation ensued and deputies determined the violator individual to be Vincent Vinny Marks and he was not a police officer. At the completion of the investigation a warrant was applied for the arrest of Vincent Vinny Marks.
On Monday, Vincent Vinny Marks was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of:

Vincent Vinny Marks posted a commercial bond in the amount of $10,000.
